Wonder Kids (Pre-Kindergarten Class)

Ms. Kathy
This is the start of my 9th year teaching at The Ormewood School and my 5th year teaching the Pre-K class. I have over 20 years of experience teaching early childhood and special education in grades Pre-K through 5th grade. I live in Decatur with my husband John and my 2 girls; Jessa (almost 18) and Ada (16). I love to go sailing, hiking and travel to new places! I look forward to a wonderful year having fun and getting messy!

Ms. Jenny Lynn
This is my 4th year teaching at The Ormewood School! I have 28 years of experience working with children of all ages, primarily as a nanny. I am a metro Atlanta native and I live in East Atlanta with 2 dogs, 3 cats and a plethora of plants. I enjoy creating art, gardening, reading, and singing. I am excited to spend the year getting to know your children!
Cool Cats (Older 3s Class)

Ms. Jane
I am Jane Phillips, and I am an Atlanta native, starting my 7th year at The Ormewood School. I recently completed my RBT certification and will be applying that knowledge to our curriculum. This will be my sixth year teaching in the Cool Cats class. I have four children, a son, 23, a daughter, 20, a son, 17, that is a senior, and a daughter, 15, that is a sophomore, both at Maynard Jackson. I live in East Atlanta with my husband, our children, and our wild dog Woodford. I enjoy spending time with my family. I like to go hiking and camping. I enjoy cooking, reading, and coffee when spending time at home.

Ms. Brinnae
My name is Brinnae McPhee. This will be my 4th year at the Ormewood School. I’ve been working with kids overall for about 4+ years now and I’ve loved every moment of it.
I’m a mother to my beautiful baby girl named A’nae and I love to spend my days making fun memories with my family & running my online jewelry boutique.
I can’t wait to meet the Cool Cats and help them grow!
Cuddly Cubs (Younger 3s Class)

Ms. Brianne
My name is Brianne McPhee and I am the co-teacher of the Cuddly Cubs class. I started teaching at the Ormewood School in January 2021, however, I have been caring for children as a babysitter for 5+ years. I love working with children and watching them grow and develop as they take on the world. I am so happy to be a part of the staff here at The Ormewood School and I am very excited for the upcoming school year.

Ms. Jasmin
My name is Jasmin and I am so excited for this school year. I have professional experience working with all kinds of children of all ages, from infants to 5-year olds! I enjoy every day that I’m working here and enjoy watching kids grow as they’re learning more about themselves! When I’m not working at the preschool, I’m either babysitting or working on my photography and learning more about filmmaking! I have fun working with kids and love being a part of their journey. I hope to be an inspiration to these wonderful kids!

Ms. Myonika
My name is Myonika Morgan and I’ve been educating children of all ages for over 10+ years, and I earned my CDA 6 years ago. One of the best things you can do in life is TEACH – it’s something that a child can take with them throughout their life. I don’t have any kids of my own, so I love and snuggle on the ones in my class because I have more than enough love to give. Thank you for entrusting your kiddos with us. We’ll have a wonderful school year!

Ms. Bria
I am Bria McPhee a former student at Georgia State University. I discovered my love for teaching children caring for kiddos during my babysitting/Nannying career over the span of 8+ years. I have worked with children as young as infancy to as old as preteens. Although I have only been active in the classroom for 7 years, that doesn’t stop my passion for helping children develop and grow by providing them with love, discipline, and fun in the classroom. My mission while I am here is to be a reflection of love to each and every person I encounter and have a positive and loving impact on your children’s lives.

Ms. Brie
My name is Brie Woodham and I’m excited to start my sixth year at The Ormewood School. I have 2 energetic, loving, wild and crazy boys who are Ormewood alumni. They are now at King Middle and Maynard Jackson High School. I have a degree in fashion that I have been using since graduating from UGA in 2001 and still use part time. I really enjoy working with kids and look forward to getting to know my new kiddos and their families.

Ms. Sarah
My name is Sarah, and this is my 3rd year with the Younger Twos at The Ormewood School. I live in southwest Atlanta with my husband and daughter (who is an Ormewood School alum). We love to explore and have family adventures near and far. When I have free time, you can find me with family and friends, reading, spending time outdoors, or checking out any of the wonderful things Atlanta has to offer. I am so excited to get to know your children this year!
Busy Bees (One-year olds Class)

Ms. Pia
My name is Pia Orellana. I’ve worked at TOS for more than 8 years. I’m excited to be in a classroom this year with the Busy Bees and also teach yoga to the Wonder Kids class. I live in Ormewood Park with my husband, daughter and our dogs Paco and Roxy!

Ms. Debbie
My name is Debbie Cartee and I am one of the teachers in the one year old classroom. My husband of 30 years, Lewis, and I live in East Atlanta with our 16 year old daughter. I have always loved children and have babysat for children from age 13 through my adult years. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Georgia and continued on to do some graduate work at UGA running studied on children’s memory development. After college I spent 10 years working in a credit union and then 4 years as a stay-at-home mommy. Outside of working at the Ormewood School you can usually find me volunteering at my daughter’s school. I’m looking forward to another great year with my one-year-old team and a new class of babies!

Ms. Rashida
I’m Ms. Rashida and I currently live in East Point. I’m a mom to two girls- Emmer is in 1st grade and Edith in kindergarten. We have 2 fur babies, Boogie and Buddy Bell! This will be my 5th year here at The Ormewood School, and I’m excited to be back working with the one year old teaching team. I look forward to the school year!

Ms. Lil
I have a degree in management and certificates in marketing and organizational psychology from the Georgia Institute of technology. I have been working with children since 2003 being an assistant Director at a Primrose school. I started working at the Ormewood School from 2008 and until 2015. I am beyond excited to come back and get to experience the joy and the excitement of watching your babies learn, grow, and explore this world. Thank you for trusting me with your precious little ones. I look forward to an amazing year with your babies!

Ms. Campbell
I’m Campbell. I’ve been working at the Ormewood School for seven summers, and this will be my first school year. I’m very excited to learn new things this year and with the opportunity to work with the babies. During my free time I love to thrift for vintage clothes and hang out with my cat!

Ms. Chelsea
I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who works with children of all ages and abilities to help them grown and learn in the way that works for them. I thoroughly enjoy working with parents to help them understand how their child learns. I have been working in a professional capacity since 2014 and joined the Ormewood School in 2022. During my personal time I enjoy gardening, nature, animals, and live music. I hope to one day combine my personal and professional interests by starting a farm where adults with special needs can live and work with autonomy and enrichment.

Ms. Carey
I am Carey Helal, a mother of 4 girls: ages 23, 21, 15, and 10. I grew up in Grant Park and have been involved in the community the majority of my life. I have worked at various neighborhood preschools for the past 11 years. My middle daughter, Rania, attended Pre-K at the Ormewood School in 2007. It has been a wonderful experience having my children be a part of this school. I am very excited to begin my role as Teacher Development Advisor!

Ms. Rania
My name is Rania, and I am excited to be taking on the role of the Enrichment Teacher this year and guiding your children through activities such as sensory play, dramatic play, artist experiences, and movement. I love anything related to art or showing my creativity throughout my life. I minored in art while earning my bachelor’s degree in English Creative Writing at Georgia State University. I enjoy long walks with my dog, organizing spaces, and coffee at local coffee shops in my free time. A fun fact about me is that I attended TOS in 2007 as a student during the first few years it was open! Working with every student and building connections in a school that once meant so much to me as a young child is an honor.

Tony
Meow! My name is Tony “Taco” Tucker and this is my third year at the Ormewood School. I spend my days napping in various classrooms, eating meals at multiple houses, terrorizing dogs, and daring people to pet my belly. You can follow me on Instagram @sirtonyoformewood.
